Privacy notice
The short version: we built this site so that we hardly need any information about you. Your nickname and coins never leave your browser, there are no accounts on our server, and we do not use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind.
Who is responsible
The controller of personal data processed through letitridepoker.net is the operator of the Let It Ride Poker website. You can reach us about anything in this notice at hello@letitridepoker.net. This notice is written with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 in mind.
Information kept in your browser
When you confirm your age and choose a nickname, the site stores a small record in your browser's local storage under the name lir-bankroll. It holds your age confirmation, your nickname, your coin balance, the time you joined and the time of your last top-up. This record is created and read by the page in your browser; it is never sent to us and we cannot see it. You can remove it at any time by signing out or clearing this site's data in your browser settings. More detail is on our cookies and storage page.
Server logs
Like nearly every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when your browser requests a page: your IP address, the date and time, the address requested, the response sent and the browser type. These logs are used to keep the site secure and working, for example to spot attacks or broken links. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a safe, reliable website. Logs are kept by the host for a limited period under its own retention settings and are not used to build profiles of visitors.
If you email us
If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it only to reply and to deal with your request, on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering messages, or to meet a legal obligation if your message is a data protection request. We keep correspondence only as long as needed for that purpose.
What we do not do
- No analytics, heatmaps or session recording.
- No advertising networks, pixels or social media trackers on our pages.
- No selling or sharing of personal data.
- No requests to third-party servers when you load a page: our fonts, images and scripts are all served from this domain.
Links to support organisations take you to their own websites, which have their own privacy notices.
Who else is involved
The only other party that processes data for us is our hosting provider, acting on our behalf for the server logs described above. If any of that processing happens outside the UK, it must be covered by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask for a copy of personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how it is used, and to receive it in a portable form. Since your game data is held only on your own device, you are already in full control of it. For anything else, email us and we will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Children
The site is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information about children.
Changes
We will update this notice if the way the site works changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
